BioEcoOcean featured during the high-level conference Riding the Wave: Advancing the EU Ocean Pact through Science, Innovation and Cooperation

We are delighted to share that the BioEcoOcean project was featured during the high-level conference Riding the Wave: Advancing the EU Ocean Pact through Science, Innovation and Cooperation, held in Cyprus under the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union on 11-12 May 2026.

Congratulations to our project lead, Lina Mtwana Nordlund (Uppsala University) for her significant contribution to the session “Restoring Our Ocean: From Science to Societal Action,” which explored how marine science, innovation, and policy can work together to restore ecosystems, protect biodiversity, and support the sustainable use of marine resources.

Thanks to Lina's participation, BioEcoOcean’s efforts to enhance collaboration across disciplines, sectors, and scales through the development of OCEANIS were showcased to a policy-oriented audience.

Additionally, the conference provided a fantastic opportunity for networking and catching up with our project partners.
