A new step forward for marine biodiversity observation

We are pleased to inform you that the Marine Biodiversity Observation Network (MBON) and BioEcoOcean have formalised their collaboration. By joining forces, we aim to strengthen synergies in marine biodiversity observation, data sharing and knowledge exchange across regional and global scales. This collaboration will support more coherent, interoperable, and impactful efforts to understand and protect marine ecosystems.

We look forward to continuing to work together to advance marine biodiversity monitoring and to better support science-based decision-making.
