Join us for an interactive workshop, led by the BioEcoOcean project, to co-create the Blueprint for Integrated Ocean Science.
Reserve your place in the workshop and register here!
The Blueprint is a practical, open-access, and question-based tool designed to improve how we collaborate, observe, and understand marine life at local to global scales. Rather than a one-size-fits-all solution, the Blueprint is built through dialogue across regions, disciplines, and experiences. It will launch in 2027 as an interactive platform under the Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS), IOC-UNESCO umbrella, supporting marine conservation, ecosystem-based management, and global frameworks such as the SDGs and the Convention on Biological Diversity.
This session focuses on the Western Indian Ocean and invites participants from all sectors, e.g. science, policy, data, and conservation. We are welcoming insights and knowledge sharing in all aspects of ocean observing of marine life. Through structured discussions, we will identify regional priorities, challenges, and opportunities. Your contributions will help shape the Blueprint’s design and make it fit for purpose.
