BioEcoOcean Consortium Meeting in Sopot, Poland

The BioEcoOcean Consortium Meeting took place at the Institute of Oceanology Polish Academy of Sciences in Sopot, Poland, from May 6th to May 9th, 2024. This meeting marked the first in-person gathering of all project partners' representatives following the previous online kick-off meeting held in March 2024.

The primary goal of the meeting was to strengthen interpersonal relations and integrate the project team to enhance their collaborative potential for upcoming project tasks. More than twenty participants from Europe, Canada and Australia gathered to discuss the project ideas and the action plan for the upcoming months.

The agenda included the consortium General Assembly, work package presentations, breakout group discussions, data management plan and initial stakeholder mapping exercises, and workshops dedicated to the development of the Blueprint for Integrated Ocean Science concept, and the Marine Organic Carbon Atlas. There were additional networking activities planned around the meeting in the beautiful surroundings of Sopot and Gdańsk, giving everybody the much needed opportunity to get to know each other better in an informal setting.
